KONX Rope Access is supported by a senior technical team with decades of combined experience across global rope access operations, training, and supervision.
The KONX leadership and delivery team includes Shylo Baker, Kodi Saies, Walther Torres, each bringing extensive backgrounds in IRATA-aligned operations, high-risk work environments, and technical leadership.
Collectively, the team has delivered rope access solutions across offshore oil and gas, mining, complex façades, industrial infrastructure, and major construction projects in Australia and internationally. This depth of experience directly informs how KONX approaches training, consulting, and on-site delivery—ensuring systems, procedures, and instruction are grounded in real operational demands.
By maintaining active involvement in live rope access work alongside training and advisory services, KONX ensures its methods remain practical, current, and aligned with industry best practice. KonX Rope access, previously known as Graviteq:
Graviteq Brisbane was established in 2019 by Shylo Baker, who later became a joint owner of KonX Rope Access Pty Ltd, expanding the vision into a broader national rope access and training operation.
Shylo began his career in building maintenance in 2007 and quickly transitioned into rope access, building more than 18 years of industry experience. He has worked with reputable IRATA member companies across Australia and internationally, including offshore projects with Vertech and instructional roles with High Q.
Throughout his career, Shylo has operated at the highest technical levels of the industry, serving as an IRATA Level 3 Supervisor for many years and contributing to the IRATA Training Committee. His involvement at committee level reflects a deep understanding of training standards, compliance requirements, and the evolution of best practice within the rope access sector.
Today, Shylo continues to lead KonX Rope Access, focusing on operational excellence, structured training systems, and strict alignment with IRATA ICOP and audit requirements. In addition to business leadership, he works independently as an IRATA Assessor and industry consultant, supporting companies in strengthening compliance, improving training delivery, and maintaining audit-ready systems.
His career reflects a consistent commitment to raising standards, developing people, and contributing meaningfully to the rope access industry.
